When you see that homeless man outside in the cold. Asking anyone if they can spare some extra change. Who do you see?
When you are eating at a crowded place and look to see a family holding hands and praying for their meal. Who do you see?
When you are buying food at your local grocery store and notice an elderly lady trying to get heavy items in her cart. Who do you see?
When you are at your favorite coffee place and a total stronger just buys you a cup of coffee. Who do you see?
Many times either at school or at work. I am seen as a “religious” person. I try to see others the way Jesus does. His compassion. His love. His Grace. You don’t have to be a religious person to simply love Jesus with all your heart, mind and soul.
In the Bible it says,”Learn to do good;
Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor;
Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.”(Isaiah 1:17) In Matthew 25:35-36 it reads, “For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ (Matthew 25:35,36) You see, we are His children and if we don’t show His love, grace and mercies to others. Then how are they going to come to have relationship with Jesus?
At the end of the day. Who do you see?
