Praising Him in this storm

“rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;” (Romans 12:12 NKJV)

No crowded malls. No last minute shopping trips. No searching and searching for that parking space. This Christmas was different. I loved it! I have a choice to rejoice! No matter the trial, heartache, sadness, I will rejoice! Not because it’s Christmas but because my Savior Jesus Christ has already delivered me! I have to trust His plans. One of my favorite pastors said in his Christmas sermon yesterday, “God is trying to produce something through your trials, He brings blessings out of burdens.”- Levi Lusko

The last two months my dad has been unemployed. It’s been a struggle but we serve a faithful and loving God! I know my dad will get another job soon. In the meantime, we are praising Him in this storm. My dad is such an awesome guy. God is working in His heart so much! I am so grateful to come home and see my dad cooking for us or cleaning and helping out my mom. Doing all the chores and things we normally do. He helps all of us out so much.

My mommy was sick off and on at the end of the summer. By September she was told she had kidney stones. Then the pain stopped. At the end of September it was back. She had her Kidney stones taken out in with no pain. Two weeks later we were back at the emergency room because she had some infection. She isn’t sick anymore. At the end of November, she had to change stores again. The same company, but different location, different employes, different bosses. She is stressed but she is praising Him in this storm.

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”(James 1:2, 3 NKJV)

I want to take this time to encourage each of you. What ever you are facing and going through, please know that God has an amazing plan for your life. He sees your trials. He sees your pain. He sees your tears. Believe me. He is there with you. Maybe you didn’t get anything special this Christmas. Maybe you didn’t get anything under the tree at all. The one gift that will change your entire life. The one gift that won’t be ever returned! The gift of salvation! In the Bible it says,”that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9, 10 NKJV) This gift is the BEST gift you will ever receive! I pray that you take this season and search God and seek Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:10, 13 NKJV)

Thank you for taking the time to read my simple blog. I do pray and hope that it encourages you. Any prayer request? Please email me at crebollo31@gmail.com wishing you and your family a blessed Christmas and a wonderful and happy new year!!! “Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,…” 1 Chronicles 16:11-12

a mom’s heart ❤

Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful and loving mommy’s out there! I thank God for putting such amazing and Godly women in my life. To show me the sacrifices and such love they have for their kids. I may not be a mom. But I know God has a plan for my life! All those ladies that He has in my life, I pray to be like them!

My beautiful mom is my proverbs 31 mom. Her example and her faith is so amazing to see in her walk. Her love and support that she has for my dad blessed my heart so much. Thank you Jesus for blessing me with such great and loving mom!

“Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her,
and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life. She finds wool and flax
and busily spins it. She is like a merchant’s ship,
bringing her food from afar. She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household
and plan the day’s work for her servant girls. She goes to inspect a field and buys it;
with her earnings she plants a vineyard. She is energetic and strong,
a hard worker. She makes sure her dealings are profitable;
her lamp burns late into the night. Her hands are busy spinning thread,
her fingers twisting fiber. She extends a helping hand to the poor
and opens her arms to the needy. She has no fear of winter for her household,
for everyone has warm clothes. She makes her own bedspreads.
She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns. Her husband is well known at the city gates,
where he sits with the other civic leaders. She makes belted linen garments
and sashes to sell to the merchants. She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household
and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her.
Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
but you surpass them all!” Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.” ( Proverbs 31:10-31 NLT)

letting God be God.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

Faith in Jesus

These past couple of weeks have been a huge test for me, in Faith. My mom’s job transferred her to a new place and she was not happy about it. At all. She was in fact miserable for a bit. I prayed with her. Tried to encourage her. Called her. Had others praying for her. At the end of the day, I need to let God do the rest. And that is when my Faith kicked in.

You see, this came to a huge lesson for me. I need to be still and let God be God. This is the problem I tend to have sometimes. I pray, and read, I seek and if I don’t see it happening….soon. I tend to think, “God must be busy, He didn’t hear my prayers.” Ridiculous. Of course He hears our prayers. All of them. All in His time to answer them. Those prayers are not to change Him, they are to change us.

In a week, my mom has not only trying to like her new relocation she even has friends! Her and my dad have been attending this home bible study for some time now, and it is really close to her new location. Many of her sisters and brothers in the Lord have come to visit her and pray for her and give her their phone numbers because they all live so close to her. Amazing! See the way Jesus works! Wow! He amazes me. Everyday. I pray that this encourages you all. We need to let God, be God. In everything in our life.

“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!” Psalm 150:6

read & reading part I

yay for books

Well, here I am. It’s lovely Monday evening and I wanted to blog about favorite books. But I didn’t just want to write down a list of them. I wanted to share something about each book and why I think they are just awesome books and some good reading! See, I am currently working on yet another paper, due at the end of this week. And I have been staring at a blank Microsoft word page for a while now. I cannot seem to write about anything right now. So this is why my “read and reading” part II will come later on this week, promise!

It was sorta of a hectic Monday for me. I had a test this morning and woke up late! I do not like being late, for anything. Seriously. Being late is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. It just messes up my entire day. It sorta did to. Then I get home, and my doggie Coco had managed to eat some of those mushrooms that grow in your back yard. Well, she was sick at first and even barfed it all out. Which was good, because then she was better afterwards. We were really scared at first, because you know how expensive all those vet bills are.

Then my mommy went back to work 😦 after having her home for almost two months, it was rather nice coming home to a warm and comfy place that smelled like such good food everyday. Since I can remember, my mom has always worked. Always. She was never the stay at home mom. It was okay, that was the way it has to be for all the bills to get paid. So, having her here for that long was a treat and I was truly blessed by how an amazing woman my mom really is. She cooks, cleans, always had food on the table and does all this with a huge smile on her face. And was always in a good mood. She was just taking care of her family that much more since she had the time and energy. I pray to be this way when Jesus brings me my husband.

So, I promise to blog later on about my read and reading part II. Here are some scriptures that spoke to my little heart this morning.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
“He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy”. Job 8:21
